Laboratory Mini Vane

The Geotechnical Laboratory at Virginia Tech has eight laboratory mini vane shear devices. This device can be used on undisturbed and remolded samples to obtain the undrained shear strength. Different vane sizes are available to be used in soils ranging for very soft to stiff fine grained soils.
